Nepal ‘A’ defeat Oman by 115 runs

Nepal ‘A’ produced a commanding all-round performance to defeat Oman by 115 runs in the second practice match at the Mulpani Upper Cricket Ground on Friday. With the result, Nepal ‘A’ levelled the two-match series 1–1. Oman had won the first match by 70 runs. Oman are set to play Nepal and the UAE in the upcoming Cricket World Cup League 2 matches starting Saturday. They will face the UAE on Monday and take on Nepal on Wednesday. Opting to bat first after losing the toss, Nepal ‘A’ posted 284 for seven in 50 overs. Dev Khanal made 64 off 95 balls, hitting five fours. Player of the match Ishan Pandey scored 69 off 78 balls with six fours, while Kushal Malla contributed 57 off 32 balls, striking four fours and four sixes. In reply, Oman were bowled out for 169 in 36.3 overs. Mujibur Ali top-scored with 43 off 66 balls, while Ramanandi made 24. Pruthvikumar Machhi scored 19, Hammad Mirza 18 and captain Jatinder Singh added 17. Vinayak Shukla made 21 off 17 balls, hitting two fours and a six. For Nepal ‘A’, Yuvraj Khatri took three wickets, conceding 24 runs in six overs with one maiden. Hemant Dhami and Sher Malla claimed two wickets each, while Aakash Chand also took two wickets. Santosh Yadav picked up one wicket.
