Ram Bahadur Bamjan acquitted of money laundering
The regional desk in Global has highlighted the acquittal of Ram Bahadur Bamjan in the crime of money laundering as a priority event, following a series of verified updates from local observers.
May 1, Kathmandu. The Open Institute for Social Science has distributed the 'Ethnography Writing Award'. In the competition organized with the aim of encouraging quality and scientific research in the field of social sciences, the best materials selected from authors from all over the country were awarded. In the competition, Srisha Bista's article titled 'The Daily Life World of Out-of-School Children in Urban Informal Settlements' won the first place and won a cash prize of one lakh rupees. Likewise, Chhiring Cholmo Gurung's 'The Door Never Opened' by Phulmaya got the second place and Yukta Sunuwar's article titled 'Thriving within the Dissection of Sympathy' won the third place and received a prize of Rs 25,000. Every year, hundreds of Nepali students go abroad in search of higher education and opportunities, keeping in view the large amount of foreign exchange, the organization has been conducting international level education in Nepal for the past seven years. The organization said that a new ethnography writing competition has been started to further strengthen the same effort. The articles received in the competition were evaluated by an international jury and three masterpieces were selected. The keynote speaker at the event was Dr. Muktasin Lama said that this type of award will create a new debate and research environment in the field of social science.
